ANDRE ATOIAN MD
Dr. Atoian is board certified in anesthesiology and addiction medicine and is also the founder and medical director of Perioperative Care Consultants and Ketamine Specialists. By focusing on the intersection of these practices—anesthesiology, pain management, addiction medicine, and mood disorders—Dr. Atoian created Limbic Medical.
From the operating room to the living room, Dr. Atoian integrates his operating room experience with at-home patient engagement to produce data-driven, patient-centered care that goes beyond pain and addiction.
Dr. Atoian specializes in ketamine-based therapies for mood disorders, ultrasound-guided interventional procedures, and opioid-free pain management. He created a comprehensive anesthesia-assisted opioid detoxification and pain management protocol for patients suffering from complex chronic pain and opioid dependency.
His interests in treating depression and pain began with his undergraduate career at the prestigious College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied neuropsychopharmacology and the interaction between depression and pain. While at UCSB, Dr. Atoian received a National Science Foundation grant for his approach to identifying novel pain medicines.
Dr. Atoian completed medical school at the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed his residency training in anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine at USC, where he was trained specifically on the use of ketamine infusions for depression and pain.
With over a decade of experience and thousands of patients successfully treated, Dr. Atoian’s unique background gives him the skills and knowledge to safely empower patients to take back control of their lives.
